2 Critical, 1 Hospitalized After Shootings Across Philly: Police

Multiple shootings across Philadelphia left two people in critical condition and a third hospitalized on Friday, Sept. 27, according to authorities.

The first shooting occurred in the 900 block of East Schiller Street at 10:06 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, as detailed in the police release. A 24-year-old man was shot multiple times through the body, the Philadelphia Police Department said. He was taken to Temple Hospital where he is currently in critical condition. No weapons were found or arrests made.

A second shooting took place in the 800 block of Spring Garden Street at 3:59 a.m. Friday. It involved a 34-year-old man who was shot once in the chest, according to police. He was transported to Jefferson Hospital where he remains in critical condition. No arrests were made relating to this shooting.

The third shooting occurred in the 7200 block of Bingham Street at 6:17 a.m. Friday.  A 53-year-old woman was shot once in the left hip, police said. She was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital and is listed in stable condition. A firearm was found at the scene. However, no arrests have been made.
